The Meadow

MeadowClan's Meadow

MeadowClan has a large grassy meadow, full of flowers during new leaf and green leaf. Rabbits, birds and field mice are especially plentiful in the meadow. The meadow is the clan's main hunting area. The meadow is a wide open space and close to camp, so mentors usually train their apprentices to battle here.

OrchardStar sat in a patch of long grass with her head raised, waiting for FlarePetal to arrive. Her gaze travelled around the meadow, admiring the beautiful scenery.

FlarePetal trots in, a wide smile splitting across her muzzle. "Hello, OrchardStar!" She purred.

"Hello FlarePetal." OrchardStar grinned. "Let's get to it then." She parted her jaws and took in the scents, catching sight of a rabbit. She bounded silently towards it, until she was too close to walk any further. Instead, she dropped into a crouch and stalked forward, pouncing at the right time. OrchardStar killed the rabbit with a nip to the neck and stood up again with a mischievous grin. "One down, A few more to go!"

She parted her jaws and her bright green eyes darted to a plump young rabbit nearby. "Yes," She whispers and drops into a hunting crouch. She stalks it quickly, her paws light and let out a mrrow of triumph as she pounced on it, killing it swiftly with a blow on it's neck. A wide grin splits across her muzzle. "Another down!"

"Great catch." OrchardStar laughed, her tail swishing. "Will we catch more or is this enough?"

She laughed. "I'm pretty sure it's enough."

"All right." OrchardStar grinned and picked up her prey, padding back towards the camp.

She lowers her head to pick up her prey and darted away.
