The High Rock

The High Rock

The High Rock is a large boulder that OrchardStar stands on top of while performing ceremonies or announcing important news. Her den is situated below the High Rock.

OrchardStar leapt atop the High Rock and let out a yowl, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!" She paused for a heartbeat, waiting for the cats to gather before continuing.
"As some of you may know, the Gathering is approaching. I've chosen the cats who will attend. Since there aren't many of us, we won't have the normal number attening this moon. EagletSwoop will be the only warrior attending along with LittleFur and I. FlarePetal, I want you to stay and guard the camp as well as make sure the kits don't get up to any mischief." A faint grin crossed her muzzle as she leapt down again.

"Of course." She calls and dipped her head.

Charredkit, who sat at the nursery entrance, cocked his head at Orchardstar's last words. Pretending to be innocent, he thought What does she mean by "Make sure the the kits don't get up into any mischief"?

Upon hearing OrchardStar's call, LittleFur had quickly padded lightly out of her den, a bunch of daisies clamped in her jaws. She put them down as she listened to the announcement, nodding warmly at FlarePetal as OrchardStar spoke. She blinked, acknowledging her Leader's words, then picked up the daisies once the announcement was over and bounded back to her den.
